Universal Studios March 11-15, 2026
Yes, we are planning a trip to Universal Studios in Florida for the band, orchestra and chorus programs. The trip is open to any student registered in an instrumental music or vocal music class next year. Based on the quality of our May pops concerts, we have be given permission to perform as a concert band, orchestra and chorus on a Universal property. The trip dates are March 11- March 15, 2026. Student cost is (about) $1100, which is expensive but comparable to the $950 trip we took to Universal in 2016. We would like to notify families in advance so they can begin to save if they’d like to send their student. Participation is purely option and at the discretion of the family. Students miss two (excused) days from school, and would also have Monday, March 16 off (as school is closed). Trip cost includes bus transportation, hotel (on Universal property), 2 daily meals, performance opportunities, and admission to all Universal parks (including the new Epic Universal Park).
Handouts/Sign-ups will become available at Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 28 (not before). Chaperones will be decided after all students who are interested have had the opportunity to sign-up. Chaperones must travel with students- no exceptions.
